Meeting minutes from December 12th, 2009
Agenda:
1. Review of Nov. 19th public meeting: Thoughts/reactions/suggestions
Group feels the presentation was good and that Martha was great, very professional and handled the crowd well.
- Reiterated no motor use

2. Report from NHHP steering committee meeting
3. Trail Cleanup
a. New trail cleanup day?
b. Set dates for 2010
c. Invite public meeting participants
Group decided new work days would be the Saturday following our monthly meetings, effective January 2010.
Dates are now 3rd Saturday of the month.
4. Open and transparent meetings:
a. Discuss possible changes if members of the public decide to join the Stewardship Committee in large numbers.
b. Robert’s Rules?
Talked about group changes to meetings if membership increases due to intereest in the park.
Agreed upon “Newberry Hill Heritage Park Stewardship Group” as the official name of the group.
Discussed using Robert’s Rules.
Talk about dues/memberships: tabled for discussion at a later date.
Seeking ideas for structure/self-governance.
Idea was brought up to have the 501(c)(3) be a separate entity from the NHHP SG. Tabled for discussion at a later date.
5. Tour leaders:
a. Horse
b. Bike
c. Walking
Discussed and arranged tour leaders for each of the three tour types. (signups at last Public Meeting on the 12th)
6. Signage
Moved to spin the signage off into a sub-committee, carried.
7. New Business?
Nancy Frank mentioned potential water reclamation/injection project.
Wade asked about brush picker policies, how to handle pickers?

How to best police the park in general?
- future discussion: hardhats and vests for an official appearance fo NHHP SG members.
